Captain Malryn
Male, 30s to early 40s. As a soldier of Nevaer, Malryn served King Ardan and Queen Ayveen from his youth, devoting his life to protecting their family. His world was shattered when the kingdom of Alkynoth invaded, leading to the death of Ardan. Years later, Malryn struggles to reconcile the need to appease the invaders with his desire for justice against the ones who murdered his beloved king. Malryn is also a close friend and surrogate father to Prince Rian, the orphaned son of King Ardan.

King Ardan
Male, late 20s to early 30s. A man with a gentle demeanor and a strong spirit, King Ardan is a loving father to his two small children. The Marksman
Male, 30s to early 40s. The Marksman is a dangerous archer who has lost everything. For years the Marksman has remained hidden from the invaders, but when he joins Kiva’s quest against the Alkynites, he risks not only death but also the exposure of a dark secret from his past. . .

Queen Ayveen
Female, 20s to early 30s. A queen who loves her family more than life itself, Ayveen does everything in her power to protect her two young children after her husband is murdered and their land is invaded. The future of her children will depend on what she decides. . .

Cormac
Male, 30s to 40s. Ambitious and battle-hardened, Cormac is a knight of Alkynoth assigned to patrol the woods outside Nevaer, a land conquered by the High King. One day, the Alkynites capture an intruder in the woods and discover that it is Princess Kiva. Realizing Nevaer may be on the verge of an uprising, Cormac vows to distinguish himself in the coming war. . .even if it means killing a fellow soldier.

Young Prince Rian
Male, 7 to 11 years old. The young prince of Nevaer, Rian enjoys a close bond with his younger sister Kiva and their loving parents. But all that changes when his father is murdered and a ruthless empire invades his kingdom. Forced to grow up too fast, young Rian struggles to do what his father would do and give hope to his mother and sister.

Cailean (said “Kaylan”)
Male, late 20s to early 30s. A strong but gentle-hearted warrior, Cailean is a knight of Alkynoth assigned to patrol the woods outside Nevaer, a kingdom conquered by the High King years ago. Cailean does not view himself as an oppressor but rather as a keeper of the peace. He often clashes with Cormac, a ruthless fellow soldier, and is also a friend to Arran, the youngest knight in their group.

Young Princess Kiva
Female, 7 to 11 years old. A joyful young princess, Kiva enjoys a close bond with her older brother Rian and their loving parents. She is inspired by her father's search for a lost relic called the Healer that can bring peace to the kingdoms of men. But her world is shattered when her father is murdered and their kingdom is invaded. As she watches her mother grieve, Kiva holds fast to the hope left by her father. Maybe one day she can finish what he started. . .

The High King
Male, 40s to 50s. The High King of Alkynoth is a deadly overlord intent on conquering all the kingdoms of men. Having won his crown through intimidation and sheer power, he inflicts cruel punishments on those who would even consider betraying him.

Niamh (said “Neev”)
Female, 20s to 30s. The wife of Captain Malryn. During the Alkynite invasion, Niamh’s parents both died and her husband was taken as a prisoner of war. After days of fearing the worst, Niamh was overjoyed when Malryn was released. As years of occupation go by, she clings to hope that Nevaer can find some semblance of peace even with their enemies ruling over them.
Bandit Leader
Male, 40s to 50s. The leader of the Kajorr Bandits, he prowls the woods that lie between the borders of the Sixth Realm and the more hostile, uncivilized Fifth Realm. Ruthless and clever, he seizes a chance to kidnap Queen Ayveen as she travels in disguise through the forest.

Herald
Male, 30s to 40s. The herald of Nevaer once served King Ardan but is now loyal to the Alkynite empire. Like many Nevaerians, he misses the peace from before the invasion, but he knows that resistance to the High King is suicidal.

Alkynite Soldiers
Male, 30s to 40s. Soldiers loyal to the High King of Alkynoth. These battle-hardened warriors have been assigned to patrol the woods of Nevaer. Not having fought in the original war, most Alkynites view the conquered Nevaerians with disdain and would not hesitate to kill any intruders in the forbidden woods.

Nevaerian Soldiers
Male, 30s to 40s. Nevaerian knights have the rare luxury of genuinely admiring the king they serve. Each would gladly lay down their lives for King Ardan and his family. The knights of Nevaer zealously follow King Ardan in his quest for the Healer, a lost relic prophesied to bring peace to all kingdoms.
